HIGH FIDELITY
SERIES
The E.A.R.
Hi-Fidelity Series is our line of high quality analog circuitry.
Analog technology has been considered the backbone of the hearing and and
ear protection market for over 50 years. Even though these circuits
present a "mechanical" sound quality, they gradually increased in
sophistication and clarity until the advantages of digital circuits
appeared. |
| Currently, we offer two
hi-fidelity analog units that are manufactured with the clarity of
compression circuitry technology. This simply means that the unit will
accept an impulse sound and compress it to a safer level, much like a high
quality electronic earmuff. The only sound difference between most
electronic earmuffs and our hi-fidelity electronic earplugs are the
compression rates, or attack and release times. Within an electronic
earplug these rates are incredibly quick and the enhanced sound will not
fade in and out on you. It will simply remain at a contained level
giving you the ability to sustain your awareness at all times. This
important safety feature allows you to hear with exceptional ease even when
high noise levels are present. |

E.A.R. ANALOG
I
This is our
high-end compression circuit that amplifies soft sounds but limits louder
sounds such as gunfire, flash bangs, drills and engine noise. This
basic model is an excellent choice for individuals seeking hearing
enhancement without the higher gains or additional clarity.

E.A.R. ANALOG
II
This is our premium analog unit that is programmed with the use of DIGITAL
software. This provides the unit with better clarity and gain. The E.A.R. Analog II is excellent for people with a mild or moderate hearing
loss and can be used for both indoor and outdoor activities.

DIGITAL SERIES
The E.A.R.
Digital Series is considered "state-of-the-art" when it comes to digital
circuitry. The digital technology has provided users with the ability to
hear things with a "CD" or "NATURAL" quality while limiting distortions and
background distractions often found within analog units. Advantages to
DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY include the following:
-Offers
more programming possibilities therefore more applications or uses
-Better
sound quality without distortion
-Can
distinguish typical speech patterns from noise
-Can
incorporate feedback suppression
-Can
sample sound 20,000 times per second
-Can be
programmed to reduce unwanted background sounds. (See E.A.R.'s new HIGH/LOW
INDOOR/OUTDOOR) unit with two memories.
With the
advancements provided by the hearing aid industry, "digital technology" has
become a recognized advantage to end users seeking the best in performance,
sound clarity and enhancement. This is never more evident than to
individuals who use game calls, whistles, and verbal communications during
training, hunting or working, or who suffer from a hearing impairment.
We
introduced our original model several years ago. Since this introduction,
we have expanded our line to include two additional models - a low-end unit
featuring basic digital circuitry, and a high-end unit featuring a pre-set push
button two-memory program.
The
distinct characteristics digital technology gave to the user was the ability to
hear things in a natural state, or "CD" quality of sound without the
distractions or distortions commonly heard within analog units known as
"acoustic confusion" or "background sounds." This recognition between
speech patterns and general noises gave the digital circuits superior sound and
enhancement properties.
Custom
programming is available to clients who provide a current hearing test with
their ear impressions. This will specifically tune the unit to the
discrepancies of the clients audiogram and turn the unit in a truly "customized"
electronic earplug.

E.A.R. Digital
Basic
This unit is the
basic backbone of digital technology with basic bandwidth circuitry.
It features excellent low-end digital sound enhancements and is a popular
unit for active individuals who also maybe hard-of-hearing.
$1,600/set (requires impressions) |
E.A.R. Digital
Plus
This unit features
an increased bandwidth for better clarity through the entire frequency
range. It is an excellent unit for hard-of-hearing due to its higher
sound enhancements and digital clarity...as well as shooters who are using
calls, such as waterfowl hunters, or where verbal communications must be
understood and possibly required.
$2,000/set (requires impressions) |
E.A.R. Digital
Two-Memory
This is the
ultimate in electronic hearing protection and is sometimes referred to as
our INDOOR/OUTDOOR or HIGH/LOW unit. This design was initially
introduced to our competitive shooting, hunting and motorcycling groups who
wanted to reduce background sounds, commonly known as "acoustic confusion."
This digital unit comes with two pre-set memories that can be quickly
adjusted with a volume control and/or push button. One memory is
designed to reproduce sounds with natural clarity while the seconds memory
is designed to reduce background sound such as wind, rain or other
environmental conditions.
$2,500/set (requires impressions) |
